The event in Carrboro, NC was well attended; we were located at the Carroboro Town Hall Commons, and shared the space with another local advocacy concern, the Really Really Free Market. Our Carrboro Greenspace project was well staffed, with a table and petitions and engaged in many interactions with folks, either through an interactive whiteboard session on how to reduce the negative climate changes, or through one-on-one personal audio interviews where folks got a chance to speak and to record what they were personally doing to reduce the negative impact our society has on the environment. Several Carrboro city officials and candidates attended, including candidates for Mayor, and Board of Alderman.
I was very pleased as everyone in attendance was very supportive of our efforts, and the candidates were very active in speaking and interacting with the local attendees.
