Step It Up Savannah was two hours long and featured two speakers. Karen Arms of the Chatham County Democratic Party called on us to applaud our representatives when they do something useful, and to share our ideas with them about global warming. Ryan Patterson of Georgia Hot Seat told a story of his grandfather, and the values we can learn from a previous generation about caring for the earth before calling on Rep. Barrow to vote for renewable energy values. We also offered the opportunity to call Rep. Barrow- about 25 people called his offices in Washington, DC and in Savannah to ask the Congressman to support clean sources of energy.
